Visit primer
Make the visit about you, not a menu
A useful visit has a beginning, a middle and a plan for what happens next.
THE BEGINNING
Lead with the problem
Say what changed, how it affects an ordinary day and what you hope to understand. A product name can come later.
“I want help understanding this change and the options that fit my health history.”
THE MIDDLE
Expect questions that can change the plan
Leave room for past conditions, current medicine, allergies, pregnancy plans, sleep, food, movement and earlier treatment. Not every topic fits every person. The point is a real exchange, not a perfect script.
THE END
Leave with a follow-up plan
- What happens next, and when?
- What test result, new problem or change in how I feel would change the plan?
- Who answers a later question?
- What problem means the next contact cannot wait?
If the visit ends when you pay, with no one to call later, the care is not finished.
