Questions to answer before the visit
Good care starts with the problem, not a product menu. A few notes can make the visit clearer.
WHAT IS HAPPENING
Name the change in ordinary words
- What feels different?
- When did it start?
- What makes it better or worse?
- What are you hoping care will help with?
“I feel off” is a valid start. Add examples from normal days so the doctor or nurse has something real to go on.
WHAT ALREADY EXISTS
Bring the pieces that prevent guessing
- Your current medicine and supplement list
- Allergies or past bad reactions
- Recent test results you already have
- The name of your regular clinician, if you have one
No special spreadsheet is needed. A phone note or clear photos of labels can keep names straight.
WHO LEADS
The visit needs room for your questions
The Federation of State Medical Boards, which speaks for state licensing boards nationwide, said in May 2026 that choosing a treatment off a website menu does not count as proper care. The same guidance said a patient has to get the chance to raise questions of their own.
A good visit can change direction once the doctor or nurse hears your history. A website order form cannot do that.
